Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Grand Rounds
Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Grand Rounds
Overview:
Grand Rounds have historically been a methodology of medical education consisting of presenting the medical problems and treatment of a particular patient to an audience consisting of doctors, pharmacists, residents, and medical students.
This course track includes 14+ hours of content from all past webinar recordings in the CPA Orthopaedic Division's Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Grand Rounds series. In each course, a complex case is introduced and the assessment/management plan is discussed by expert panelists. Panelists may include physiotherapists of different practice areas, and other healthcare professionals, such as orthopaedic surgeons, optometrists, and vertigo specialists.
New insight is provided for challenging and unresolved cases, where the patient can be stalled in their recovery, or no new information has been discovered that would help further the patient’s progress. The courses demonstrate the value of interprofessionalism, leadership, and collaboration between different disciplines.
