Train the Trainer Part 2 - Create your Course on Embodia
Lessons are the bread and butter of a course, housing most of the information content (you are taking a Lesson right now!). This material can include text, videos, images, and links to other web pages. Whatever form the lesson takes, it is meant to be the primary method of delivering information to your audience. Whether you are using lessons for writing a textbook-style page or hosting video content, they will be the main body of your course.
To get started, make sure you have created at least one Category in your course. Categories are the sections of your course within which course material or content lives. For more details on creating Categories, visit the help article, An introduction to Course Materials.
Once you have a Category created, click on 'Add Course Material' and then select 'New Lesson':
This will take you to a new page which includes a text editor! This page provides you with everything you need to set up a lesson.
The first text box on the page is the Title of the lesson. You must include a Title:
The next box is a dropdown to select which Category you'd like to put the lesson in. By default, your lesson is added to the Category that you chose when creating this lesson. You can come back at any time and change which category this lesson resides within.
Below that is the text editor within which you can add Content. To learn about the text editor, visit the Text Editor help article.
Make sure to always click the Create Lesson button to complete and save your lesson! Don't worry, it doesn't have to be perfect because you can always edit your lesson.
