Adding patients
Option 1: Adding patients from your homepage.
From your homepage, click on Add a new patient.
Fill in the patient information (first name, last name, and email address**) and then click Add Patient.
**Adding an email address is optional but highly recommended. If the email is left blank, the patient will not receive any communication from Embodia including appointment reminders, new program notifications, questionnaire notifications, and pending invoices notifications.
The patient will be added to your account. The patient will not yet be notified by email since their account is empty.
The patient will be notified by email when one of the following actions occurs on their account (this is discussed in greater detail in the help article, When do patients get email notifications):
- You prescribed their first home exercise program, or;
- You shared education with them for the first time, or;
- You share a questionnaire.
When one of the actions mentioned above is completed, the patient will receive an email with details about how to log in to their account:
Option 2: Adding patients from the 'My patients' tab.
You can also add a new patient by going to My patients and then clicking on Add a patient:
If you have a large list of patients to import, you can use the 'Import patients' button that you can see in the image above.
