Overview:
Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is increasing in Canada.
Physiotherapists provide treatment for people with knee OA to improve their mobility and maximize their function. Because we do not have much information about what treatments physiotherapists in Canada utilize when treating people with knee OA and what factors influence treatment choice, we conducted a study to determine both.
Join the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and course presenter Brenda Tittlemier for this online course Knee Osteoarthritis - What Factors Influence the Interventions that Canadian Physiotherapists Provide?
Speaker: Brenda Tittlemier
Brenda Tittlemier is a PhD student with Dr. Kathryn Sibley in the Applied Health Sciences program at the University of Manitoba. Brenda holds a Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy and an MSc degree, both of which she obtained at the University of Manitoba.
Her MSc project included a critical appraisal of clinical practice guidelines for people with knee osteoarthritis and an investigation into the clinical practice of physiotherapists who work in Canada and treat people with knee osteoarthritis. Her PhD will focus on integrated knowledge translation in rehabilitation sciences.
